Hmmmmm......are Vette people Vain ? .....perhaps they care more about their cars then other people do ?!?!?

After showing & boring almost every co-worker here about my ride and the 'new' wheels it made me wonder. Not to mention the times I spend at home just starring at my car & taking photos as if she were Courtney *** in a bikini. :crazy: .....vote below for your vanity level.

Most of my friends & coworkers are rather indifferent to it. :( Its just an old car to them. To me its a beautiful work of art with much blood, sweat and tears invested. Once i take them for a ride in it though and they experience hte power, handling and braking, their eyes are opened. :)

I don't know where I fall. I just do my best to take extra special care of the things I've been blessed with. I'm not taking any of it when I leave this world, but I want to take care of it while I'm here.

I happen to be an automotive nut, so really it wouldn't matter if I had a couple of Vettes or not. In fact, since I was 16 and got my first car, people I know have always been impressed with how I maintain my car(s). Just the other day I had a guy ask me if I got a new truck. Uh, no, I've had it for 4.5 years and its got 42k miles on it, to which he replied that it looked brand new.

So maybe I'm just a certifiable "car guy", and am fortunate enough to be a part of the Vette family.

Am I vain? Well, I do get irritated when people park too close to me, or put their hands all over my car as they walk by. That is annoying, among other things.

I get to many compliments from people not to realize its a nice car ( if they only knew how much of a money pit she was...) Any vette is a nice car by definition, our sharks even more so.

Yeah, I admit it, I do too. But I bought my vette just because I wanted it. I do all my own work on it, except paint. So I don't think it makes me vain.
