Seats are back from the Upholsterer...
...and I am very pleased with the job. The frames were cleaned and painted, the covers fit tightly without folds, the EBay hockey sticks look fine, the head rests work well, and the new plastic backs fit perfectly. Bring on the spring!

Those look awesome.
That should cushion the ride in your low tech cruiser.
How can you even think about a C5 ?

The seats turned out great Paul. Those will make a great addition to your vette.

They really do look great, looks like the headrests will be the finishing touch to your interior. Enjoy them.

Thanks John. There are several finishing touches left, the most significant of which is shoulder belts.
Just a note for C3 readers: headrests and shoulder belts were rare options in 1967. Some 1,762 of the former and 1,426 of the latter in a production run of 22,940. I decided last autumn that I wanted them and sourced all the various pieces from the USA over the winter.

Sling,
Your sig does not tell me where you are so who did the work is not perhaps of relevance. Suffice to say it was a local shop about 15 minutes away.
The various bits and pieces were sourced by me from the USA. The installation included cleaning the frame mechanically (basically by wire brush as all was very clean), welding in the headrest supports, painting the frame with semi-gloss rust-proof black, installing new foams, burlap, wires, covers, etc. I provided the installation kit; they did the burlap work on the foams. The price was $350CDN or about $260US. I consider that a bargain.

Very nicely done. I just received my seat covers, will be attempting installation myself.

Thanks for the compliment. I did not have the nerve to try it myself. I do wish you well with that job!
