tv cable and throttle cable not cooperating
i believe this is the tv cable... it's the cable that attaches to the throttle linkage on the carburater below the axis.
I can't achieve full throttle with the cable attached...maybe 2/3 throttle at most...is there some adjustment i am missing.....i will continue to look and search my chiltons..
also i don't know if this matters but i am trying to tune the linkage with the car off and in park...

What are you working on? TV cable is for Overdrive transmissions and is adjusted by the cable bracket. It has a push button on it that is spring loaded to hold the cable. The way it is suppose to be adjusted is to force the throttle to full open position which will force the cable to pull out to the correct position. This should never change once it is there.

Re: tv cable and throttle cable not cooperating (redwingvette)
guess my verbage is wrong...there is a cable that looks like it runs to the tranny on the passenger side. this cable is hooked to the bottom have of the linkage on the carb....the accelerater cable being on top.

If this is the stock TH350, all you have to do is release the button located the cable bracket near the carb. Open the throttle all the way, and push the button back into place. It's that simple.
