Default Reliable carpet supplier reference, please.

I prefer only those reponders who have bought and or installed the carpets. I am about to install fresh molded seat cushions with new covers and figgered that while the seats are out...... thanks!

There are two major suppliers of carpet. Al Knock and Auto Custom Carpet. People have their favorites and if you search you will see many threads on this. I went with ACC. There are many people that sell the ACC product - Zip, Ecklers, Last Detail etc. So then it is a matter of shopping for the best price. I ended up at Willcox. I had a slight color match problem because I bought the rear compartment and the carpet several months apart. They were great about shipping out a repalcement carpet that matched perfectly.

I installed (actually the wifey) carpet last year. I got it from Wilcox (A+ service). They sell carpet from ACC, and as mentioned above, they are one of the 3 manufacturers (Romeo Eng. also mans their own).

The fit and color was fine. The carpet itself felt "thin". I could actually see daylight thru it before I installed it, BUT...that is how it is made I guess. A friend of mine in Virginia boight some from Al Knoch, and noticed the exact same thing.

Maybe it was made that way originally way back when :confused:

I went with ACC carpet too. Didn't like the fit of the pieces that go on the sides of the storage compartment, over the wheel wells, but other than that the fit was ok. It does feel kinda thin though...

As for where to buy it from, when I bought my set The Last Detail had the best price.
