Right Tire for 68 BB Vert
I am ready to reskin my car and need some advise on tire size. I have seen 68-72 Vettes w/ Goodyear/Goodrich tires that really look good, they are wide, fill the wheel well correctly and have a low profile. I am unsure of the size, is it a 225R60, 225R70,235R60 OR 235R70? Any advise or insight would be greatly appreciated

My 68 is very happy with 225/70. I think I had 235/60 which were wider, but didn't fill the wheel wells as well. More importantly the car tended to wander in the ruts of the local highways. The ride is much more stable with the 225/70s but they are not real wide tires. MJ

68's actually had F70x15 which equate to 215R70x15. I kept the 215's on mine with absolutely no problems with wandering, rubbing, or speedometer error.
