I'm going with an LT1 intake, but mostly because I want all GM parts under my hood. I suppose my car will be as much of a "sleeper" as a Corvette can be.

depends what you want, do you want more low end torque or high end power. Unfortunatley they are mutually exclusive (more or less).

Probably should have stated which is more benificial to me running stock LT1 heads, Comp Cams XE 274 cam, block bored .030 with aluminum flat top pistons, stock crank turned .010 and a Holley 670 Street Avenger carburetor. Still have the Muncie 4 speed and 3.70 rear gears. :)

Edelbrock claims 19HP for the RPM. We observed 6HP over my 72 LT-1 intake on the dyno session with my motor, a Victor Jr made 23HP more but wouldn't take full throttle below 3200RPM. You cannot feel 6HP, I have the factory intake on the car and it has run a best of 12.28@117MPH at the drags, I think thats all you need to know (the plenum divider is still not cut and it has a #4777 650cfm Double Pumper Holley with no choke tower, and other mods by me.) The cheapest intake for your Vette is a used Holley 300-36 hi-rise on Ebay, They are dead ringers for the LT-1 and can be had for under $75 in most auctions. You will need the LT-1 hood to clear the manifold on a Vette, be forewarned. The best intake for a small block or 73 up hood is the Brodix 2plane high rise, I never got to test one in my dyno session but they have a good design and are about 1-1.5" lower than the LT-1 or RPM intakes (not smog legal!)

The more info. you added helps. The RPM, though not by a lot & you might make more money w/ the stock LT-1 intake. Agree the Holley 300-36 (Dominator II / Contender) is also very good.
