1980 Passenger Side Mirror
I'm curious who on our list may have a 1980 with a remote control on their passenger side mirror. Also, if you don't mind sharing, what's the last five digits of your VIN?
Seems like this was a mid-year change in 1980 with early not having the remote and late model getting the remote.

Re: 1980 Passenger Side Mirror (theoUK)
The sales brochure for the 1980 which would have been printed before
the start of the model year lists as standard equipment: "Dual remote
control sport mirrors". The right hand remote mirror was first offered
on the 1980's as the right hand mirror on 1979's was non remote.
I own a late 1979 with an SN # in the 52000's. Have the window sticker
and it lists under standard equipment "Twin remote control sport mirrors".
On the list of options for the car it lists option D35 Sport mirrors LH remote,
RH manual with a credit of $26.00.
So it appears the right hand remote mirrors were scheduled to be phased
in late in 1979 production but may not have been available in time which could have extended thru early 1980 production.

Nice Work! The P&A (parts book from 83) lists something in reference to D68. I'm wondering if Chevy assigned it a new RPO once it became available. Anyone with a window sticker or build sheet with dual remotes that can confirm the RPO?

Have the window sticker and build sheet for the 1980. It lists under
standard equipment on the left side of the window sticker, same as the late
1979 as having twin remote mirrors. I also have the build sheet for the
1980 but could not see the mirrors listed. This 1980 is a mid production
year car with a serial no. in the 22000.
