79 rear interior storage compartment handles?

79 rear interior storage compartment handles?
The early 79 corvettes had three storage compartments. What color were these handles, Painted Black or zinc plated? I need to replace the ones on my three compartments. Thanks. :confused:

The ones I have seem to be painted black, but the replacements are advertised as being zinc plated? :confused:

As were mine. They may not be referring to the finished product's appearance as zinc coated because I would think it would be chrome plated or painted (over bare zinc coated metal).
