Exhaust diameter for my '71 454....
After talking ot a friend that owns an automotive performance shop, I'm convinced that the 2" pipe on my car is too small. What did the '71 LS5 454 cars come with from the factory? And...should I be running 2 1/2" at minimum? By the way, this all started with me doind some muffler shopping. Thanks for your input!

All LS5 cars came with 2.5 pipe.
There is a guy on ebay selling a complete, front to back with all hangers and GM clamps, original 71 454 4spd welded exhaust system.
It has been on a rack ina garage for nearly 30 years. I saw pics and it looks in GREAT condition!!
He has a starting bid of $100.00.
