Base/Clear Question
I am repainting my 79 with Omni base/clear. I have sanded the door jams down as far as possible but there is still spots and patches of GMs laquer in those hard to sand spots. I want to epoxy prime and then seam seal ,re epoxy prime and then base etc. My question is: I know some urethanes will lift if applied over laquer and recoated. Has anyone used epoxy primer and base clear systems over factory laquer and what was the result.

Re: Base/Clear Question (Redshark6974)
If it were me I make DAMN sure I removed every freakin' bit of lacquer :nono:
Use tooth brushes or paint stir sticks or pipe insulation to wrap your sand paper around....whatever it takes or you will regret it !!!!
It will bubblw up no matter what you put on top of it ! small inconvience
if you consider all the hard work just to have these areas come back to haunt ya !!
