No but it would pretty fun for a person who uses it in their line of work to take it to the track and whoop up on most every production muscle/sports car for far less $ then haul home other guys cars who break down.

Nice but where can you by a stockFord with that eng in it and just reprogram the computer to get that hp/torq? That is a stock eng that comes in that truck and most of the add $ spent in that article is on beefing up the drivetrain to handle the 1000+ of torq coming off the crank.

Turbos are really the best power adders but take a little more time and $ to get them set up then a traditional roots blower or cent supercharger.

Yeah i agree, diesels make some pretty wild torque. Bennett racing sells the ford setup, engine computer all of it. But it is 24k dollars. This would have fit really well in my mustang. Too bad i would have to take out a morgage just for the engine. :nonod:

I'm a landscaper and when I get a new truck in a year or two, it'll definately be with the duramax/allison combo, and have some tweaking done to it like this truck :yesnod: . I know several guys that have diesel trucks that move pretty good. I think awhile back on this forum there was a post about a brand new Trans Am getting smoked by a Dodge truck with a Cummins diesel in it

I still am amazed what they got out of the GMC with the stock motor and reprogramming, truely awesome.
