Who makes a wiper-door delete hood?
I know there are a handful of L88 hoods out there for 68-72s that allow for removal of the wiper door assembly, but who makes one that is just raised but not as high as the L88? Something more like the later L-82 hoods. I know I've seen them on a couple of cars but I don't know where they were purchased.
Any ideas?

I think they only sell the long L88 hood. Im not sure about the vanacor one though. I think you can use 73 on up hoods to delete the wipers, Im not sure though.

I've been looking for the same thing because I don't really want the wiper door, but every car that I've seen with the long hood looks funny where the hood joins the fenders. When you install the long hood, you have to remove the small stainless trim pieces that fit onto each fender, and you're left with the flat areas at the fender tip that were designed to mount the trim. Any ideas on how to deal with that?

Hi
You need to build them up with fiberglass to match the contour of the hood.
This is the only way to make all look decent.
Good luck. Gunther

Guther is right. Using a stock post-72 hood will require you to add about an inch to the tops of your fenders where the hood meets. That's not an option. I know there are aftermarket hoods that are just like the 73+ hoods but have a lower profile at the windshield for 68-72 cars. I just want to know where I can find one.

I think ACI sells the hood you're looking for, look at QHG050: http://www.acivette.com/aci0013m.htm

I called AGI and asked about the QHG050. He said it still wouldn't fit an early car without rework of the fenders.
