TPI & TH350
I am looking to do a TPI swap on my 78 corvette and I've been reading on it and I cannot find a place that has a vss for a TH350. Anyone who has done this swap and kept the TH350 please let me know where to find some parts. Thanks any input will me greatly appreciated. This is the only thing slowing me down.

Re: TPI & TH350 (blue 78 vette)
There are some available. I found them when doing mine, but I cant remember where now. I am basically cheap and like to engineer things for myself so I used a sensor from a Chevy Celebrity and half of a cruise control unit from a 70s Corvette. The cable drives the cruise unit, the wheel in the cruise unit painted flat black in every other quarter gives the sensor the signal. The cruise drives the mechanical speedometer.

Call these guys they should help you.also painless wiring has them too ,theyll screw right on to your existing transmission and your cable will screw onto that. Two wires come out of the new vss.And summmitracing has them too.

You just need a VSS that screws inline with the speedo cable at the transmission. You can get them from Howell, Painless, Street and Performance. I think you can even get them from Jegs. Just be sure to use the right one. Speed -Density uses 4000 pulses per mile while mass-air flow uses 2000 pulses per mile.
