Default Replace body mounts

How dificult of a progect is this? Is it somthing to be undertaken in the home garage, will I need to lift the body off the frame, or can I replace just one at a time leaving the others intact?

Thanks
Leo

I think you're going to have to lift the body a couple of inches at least to do it. I did replace the #3's last year but had to weld up the birdcage so I was able to fit them first.

Take a look in the tech tips section (tools->tech tips->C3). I wrote a step-by-step guide when I replaced mine.

If everything is still in good shape you can change them one side at a time. The process is to loosen all the bolts, then jack-up one side and replace them. Then the other side. Sounds a lot simpler then it is. You still need to remove a lot more then the body mount bolts in order to be able to lift the body at all. NOW, if things get ugly, you may end up with a lot more work than you bargined for. Check my web page for more info.
