Default c3 seat problem

the drivers seat in my 74 sets to low for my wife to see over the hood. Is there a easy way to raise the seat? Can a "stand off" be used? Because not letting her drive it is not an option!!

:iagree: unless you are short or have tilt you prolly don't want raise the set permanately, not much leg room between seat and fixed steering wheel.

I soaked mine in a shallow container of Aviation Fuel (outside) for a week. The grease, grime, rug fibers, paint, etc. just fell away. Gave it shot with glass bead, flushed it with air and brake clean and sprayed them with satin black. After hitting them with a little white lithium grease they are as good as (or better than) new!

The vinegar...is that like the trick of dropping a penny in a glass of coke. The penny turns out brand new in about 30 sec. And we drink that!!! :jester

I'm not that big and I can just fit between the seat and steering wheel. So I don't recommend using spacers unless you have a tilt/tele wheel, then I guess it wouldn't be a problem.
