Ive searched high and low, but i cant find a turbo kit for my 81 vette, i know callaway had turbod 81's but ive looked every where. Anyone know where i can get a kit, i thought about building my engine up but since it already had low compresion and i love a unique setup im gona try for the turbo, and i dont have the mechanical knowhow to custom build my own, and if avoidable i dont want to have to pay for someone else to "custom" fabricate one for me. Can anyone get me some info?? :chevy :auto:

i'm looking for one that i saw a pic of in this forum, it uses a Q-jet carb and
a by-pass of some kind ???? not sure .... it not for High HP but should make
some torque :thumbs:

you mean the martin turbo kit or an accel turbosonic. They are not made anymore but pop up on ebay every now & then. Because they are draw thru an intercooler is out of the question so higher levels of boost are not available without nitrous cooling.

Corz, they actually do have a header design in the making for C3's :yesnod: . They've been bugging me to get my headers off so that they can put it into my car & see how they fit :D so I know that they're pretty close ;) . He'd be closer, but I don't like working in the cold and I've been wanting to wait until my new engine is closer to being installed ;) I should be starting the teardown soon :)
