Children need your help.
I consider the C3 to be a staple in sports cars plus the owners are usually the most down to earth guys. I was over at a friends house today and was talking about my 78 when his kid starts telling me about the "Coolest Sports car" it was a 02 ford focus with ground effects and pipes. So please take some time and teach a child about the real sports cars, it scares me to think of children growing up wanting a ford focus.

Trust me, when kids see a C3 they KNOW it's the coolest car ever! I have a friedn with a six-year-old son. You should have seen his eyes when I pulled up to their house in my '79! He doesn't have many words in his vocabulary, but "Corvette" is definitely one of them...
So y'all need to get out there and drive your cars. Every time I drive mine, I see kids staring open-mouthed!

when i drive mine around kids look at my car like its the coolest thing they have ever seen.
Retired age people tend to like it too.
Its the 30 to 50 something uppies that don't give it a second look because its not a 60K BMW. In some peoples book a car is all about how much you paid for it.

I also have an '02 Camaro Z28 that inspires the envy of all the ricer boys. It's a black convertible with intake and exhaust. They can hear it coming from a mile away, and so for some reason, they think their Toyota Solara is in the same class. Afterall, their cars are loud too!
In the end, I just laugh as I watch them disappear in the rearview. You may not be able to make them like the American classics, but they WILL respect them. Whether they want to or not.

My cousin's friend from England rented a focus once. It was fun listening to the engine roar when he stomped on it, while the speedo stayed at the same place.
I live in suburbia, where there's a decent amount of rice but more often H2s, Suburbans, and 7-series BMWs. Even some exotics like ferraris and such. Still, no one wants to race my '75 even though it'd be a tough call between my vette and my sister's S10
It's all about intimidation factor and the C3 has plenty of it. :yesnod: :chevy

I pulled up to a gas station in a small town by where I live. Some kids where just going into the store and they stop and the one kid says, "WOW that is the sweetest car I have ever seen" I was like yeah its a corvette stingray. The other kid goes, "Yeah you idiot haven't you ever seen one of those before?" He then goes on to tell me how his dad has a corvette but how the toyota supra is THE car to have. I laugh at him and go into the store, when I left I did a little dance involving some tire smoke and watch their eyes go big
