Question to Roller cam guys with mechanical fuel pumps
What fuel pump push rod are you using?
I have seen the Comp cams roller tipped one, and TBH the quality of the piece that I have seen doesnt inspire me. I have purchased a bronze tipped one, but I am concerned about longevity of that part. I have also seen ceramic tipped pushrods as well.....
So chime in, what are you guys using out there.

Re: Question to Roller cam guys with mechanical fuel pumps (fauxrs)
I run a factory style rod without problem. I have a comp cam XR-270. I have around 5000 miles on it already.

nothing wrong with the factory rod...if the 502 would have provisions for a mechanical pump, the factory rod would be the one I'd use

I have an ARP standard tipped in my 427. It's pretty nice.
I have a Comp Cams hyd roller and asked a Comp
tech guy if I needed a special fuel pump pushrod for it.
He said no, standard is fine.
