Re: donut, nice screech but no smoke (turtlevette)
With my stinky cam/ carb/ intake the previous owner put in I can't spin either and I have a 350 HP 11/1 compression. Problem is when I raise the RPM to 3000RPM (when the engine starts making power) the tires go banana's and it's hard to keep steering input as it slides all over the place. and it will continue to spin tire all block long. I gave up doing this when I realized my life and the car's at risk. Maybe it will be more tame when I get my new stock carb/ intake.

I use 255/60r15 Firestone Indy 500's all the way around. They handle well enough for a 60 series tire ... and yea they smoke just fine when I work it hard enough.
Even with the 2500 stall convertor though, I need to really work it hard to smoke them. Usually I just get a parallel pair of black tracks on the road. If I catch it just right though, and get the RPM up high enough in the burnout, they smoke just fine. :yesnod:  :steering:
