Susan my fiancee needed to go to Vons supermarket for some odds and ends groceries. I surprised her by throwing the keys and she motored off. Car looks great from behind with the top down and Susan's long hair flowing in the wind. she got on it and chirped the tires coming out of second, that's my girl!! :cheers:

My present girlfriend has never asked, and I've never volunteered.

I let my son drive it to a prom when he was 16. I know it was crazy, but it's what I wanted when I was 16. His grandparents freaked when he stood on the gas leaving the driveway. Yup that's my boy!

I'd let the wife drive mine but she has no interest in my hobbies (too many she says and ALL too expensive) :D I do let a tech or two drive it for test purposes when they work on it but then again they work with me at a dealership so they are extra careful :lol: :cheers: :seeya

Once I get the car where I want it anyone can drive it that has half a brain, that should limited the number of people to a handful. :jester

I let my dad drive it when I had the hopped up 350 in and he drove it like a sissy, I had to tell him "Give it some gas old man!" :lol: :steering:

only a few, 5 actually, SuperFast80 (ouch), 1bad69 (should have put the Holley back on for him as the Edel is only for cruising not 1/4's), an old freind who has driven more sports cars than most ppl., my mechanic and taught my son at 14 how to drive on it - damn boy wouldn't pull over, scared the crap out of me when he exceeded 120 mph on a 50 mph highway, thank god it was perfectly straight, absolutley no traffic (aren't those 2 way radios with a 2 mile range great).

My wife doesn't mind that I don't let her ever drive it, but she does seem a bit miffed that her name is not on the title! :lol: (We own EVERYTHING jointly, all financial assets and our house). MJ

So far only my wife, my son and 74 Vert have driven my vette.

I let my fiancee drive it. She's always had sporty cars, currently driving a 02 mustang gt 5spd and she doesn't abuse the equipment. She drove the 73 back from Effingham Funfest last year and really enjoyed it. She is really looking forward to having another corvette added to the garage for herself. Sounds cool to me :cool: Other then her, it's just been my close friends and family all of which either wanted a vette afterwards or already had one.
