Interesting stroker build-up from Royal Purple

I have read that article before but did not really appreciate what that eng put out with just changing to 1.6 rockers and air-gap intake, more than 50hp and 60 lb-ft of torq over what GM advertised. Too bad GM uses such a weak cam, just a change to the ZZ4 cam would have put you over over 400 and 500 respectively. :yesnod:

I agree Chris, I had read it before as well but now that I am looking at upgrading my cam I found the RP article and the Ryan's page you had sent me very informative. It just reminds me of MountainMotor continually saying to me that it is the proper combination of parts from air filter to tailpipe not just reading mags and slapping a name brand add-on that purports to give 20 hp for $50. The addition of Royal Purple or Synergen also is noted in the hp/tq increase.
