Transverse leaf spring for the front?
I'm thinking of buying the leaf spring conversion for my 79'.What is the general opinion of these? Are the better than coil springs? How tough is the installation. Ive already put a glass spring in the back.

The search function, if working, would supply you with plenty of info as this has been asked many a time.

Re: Transverse leaf spring for the front? (stinky)
I tried the search function first but got no hits on transverse leaf spring. Should I try something else?

Try "mono front spring" is the search field.
I've had mine for about 6 months. When you change the ride height you need to have the car realigned. Overall I've very happy with mine. If you autocross your car you will be bumped up to the modified class.

I was surprised by the few threads found but this HAS been talked about a great deal. I only found 3 or 4 threads using "transverse front springs" as search subject.

I am not a fan of traverse spring or buggy springs. They transfer harmonics from one wheel to the other. What is so wrong with the stock front end setup. Install new bushings and spring and it works fine and saves alot of money.
The only reason I went to coil overs is that I can pull the springs easily for adjustments.
Of the two choices I would choose the semi coilovers.
