Any tips on installing Hooker Side Tubes?
I'm having problems with the side tubes on my Hooker side mounts on my '68. Instead of destroying a set of $500 fiberglass rocker panels I put on a set of '77 Stainless steel panels. My problem is when I tighten the bolts the panel wants to roll inwards. Like it is I will have to fab a spacer to put between the panel and fram to keep it from rolling and tucking up when I tighten it.
Anyone else have this problem??

Re: Any tips on installing Hooker Side Tubes? (Corey 68)
When I mounted my side tube I went to the parts store and bought some replacement shock grommets. The grommets gave it enough room to miss the rocker moulding. It has been on mine for 3 years and never had problem. It doesn't get hot enough to melt.
