Questions about those beautiful 502 C3's
What were the biggest problems you guys had getting the engine to fit right? What all did you have to modify? What would you recommend for an automatic trans? (I don't know if i'll keep an auto tranny in the car). Any other info would be great.
Thanks
Ah, good old fashioned American displacement! :flag

i believe its the same block as a tall deck BBC... but i may be wrong. if so, hood clearance would be the biggest issue.

There ae no problems.....same engine mounts, only hang up, if you're using a stick, you have to make a bracket to mount ball for the z bar, though I understand gm now is casting a boss in the block for the ball. Other than that, the fit is just fine...oh yea, no mechanical fuel pump, so electric is the only choice.

You hook up pretty much everything the same as you would a regular BB car. It may clear your hood, depending on which intake you run and which hood you're running.

Thanks.
What about transmissions? Is there an automatic that can handle 600hp without being modified? Or would it just be better to get a stick?
