Hate to tell you this man, but the seam is supposed to be straight, i.e. 1/2 of the fill on the panel, the other half on the fender.

My friend Ken has a 'purchased' sidepipe rear filler panel on his 73.
It looks just like Pat did. The 69 has different exhaust cutouts, so that
design (only stock sidepipe year) may differ.

Nice work, Pat ... I have decided to leave the under car exhaust on for this
summer (wanna drive) - so this is one thing I won't be doing soon.

Pat, that is exactly what I am going to do on my 68. I bought a used rear panel at Carlisle and I'm going to fill it in but make it removeable. Nice job. Craig

My car had side pipes when I purchased it. It had originally had exhaust out the rear of the car. When it was painted, I installed a new panel. I glassed the panel in to the fenders. It looks really cool. If I knew how to post a picture to this email I would do so. Sorry about that.

Good luck :steering:

Nice work Pat! I modified mine too, except I went for the factory look with the straight seam. .After having sidepipes, I don't think I'd want to go back to exhaust tips coming out the back

I think your gonna love the sidepipes. I always read about heat in a C3. I have only had sidepipes on a 71 454 4speed and don't have a heat problem. Just replaced my heater core.
