Default Ground clearance with headers..

How much clearance am I going to lose when I add my Hooker Comp headers? I am taking the front suspension back apart, probably tomorrow, and need to know if I've got room to cut the springs. I'm sitting at 28" fender height now (27" tires) and plan to cut 1/2 a coil, for a 1"-ish drop. Sound good?

I'd wait to cut until after you install the headers. The hookers should be fine with the chop, but I would still wait.

I scrape even with 550s and a spacer...

I have the same headers and measure 26.5" up front. Still have plenty of room. Stock 350 springs yelded 1" p/ 1/2 coil.

I just don't usually take apart my front suspension that often, and thought I'd take the opportunity to cut them. My headers are in NC or else they'd be going on today! I'll take a good look at things and think about it, thanks guys.
