Temperture Switch & Relay
1971 350/270 Quadrajet, Located on the drivers side firewall is a temperture switch and relay for the CEC solenoid. The temperture switch is mounted on the relay. Where can I purchase these?

Re: Temperture Switch & Relay (Tom Johnson)
It's not a temperature switch. The TCS temp. switch is in the passenger side cylinder head.
The two relays you are looking at are a time delay relay (activated for 15-20 seconds after start-up) and a reversing relay (called that because of the grounding path it takes) which actuates when the transmission is in high gear or reverse.
These show up on ebay regularly for 20-40 dollars depending on the number of bidders. Do different searches because these were also used on full-size Chevys, not just Corvettes.

They were on 71 and early 72's. The troubleshooting manual is in the 1972 GM books. I have an electronic copy. E-mail me if you want a free copy.
