Default Cluth install 1981

Has any one installed a clutch in this year car? the engine is out and ready to go back in, I read something about lining an x on the fly wheel and pressure plate and or disc? any help, or suggestions would be great

What car? I assume the x's are the markings when the wheel and pressure plate were balanced. Don't forget to use the input shaft to align the pressure plate.

Nothing special about installing a clutch here...

Suggest attaching the transmission to the engine and then installing both.
Reason being that putting the tranmission on the engine underneath the car
is a pain as things generally don't completely line up and there is less room to get
around stuff and tighten bolts, etc.

Installing beforehand has to be easier. Haven't done the engine install with transmission,
though others have and say its the way to go.
