Rich kids get toys even if flunk out of English class.
Maby I dide'nt have a $30k car given to me when I was 20 and will be broke when daddys money runs out, But dad did teach me how to EARN money and rebuild Chevys so now that I'm 40 I could BUY a lowly '77 and rebuild it myself.
Thanks Dad!

No kid whose dad dies when he's 11 is lucky. Maybe he'll respect the car and get extra pleasure out of it, because of its origin. Let's hope.

I know some hard-working people who grew up with money and managed to have character and a strong work ethic. Sometimes a taste of the good life motivates people to achieve on their own.

:iagree: I don't see how the kid is spoiled if he is getting his deceased father's car.

Frankly, I don't have a clue as to what the story was :nonod:

Kid loses father = sad

Kid gets vet = good (but in no way compensates for losing father)

Here is a translation:

My dad works for a small business, and his boss's brother bought a 1971 convertible about six years ago. Last year he passed away. His son is now turning 16 and for his 16th birthday his mom is giving him the car. What do you think? The car is a 1971 red on white convertible with a base 350 engine, automatic and hardtop. It is a nice driver car and with a little work it could be a show car.

BTW his boss's brother bought the 71 a week after seeing our 67.

What do I think?
I think you just need a new keyboard!

As for the story, I think that it is great that he has something special to remember his dad by.

Introduce him to the forum, I'm sure the people here can help him with his new car.

As to the story: Always nice to hear something good comes from tragedy. May he use it in good health and value what it represents.

Robert, I think that this comment was targeted at the original poster. His inability to compose a sentence that can be understood left me wondering what the hell he was trying to get across.
