Those are aftermarket.
Mr. Gasket to be precise. They were (fairly) popular in the late 70's/early 80's.
Pretty lightweight, pretty decent valve covers IMO!
Personally, I'd polish them up and mount them!

The script looks C-4ish to my eyes, 84-96 or whenever it was Chevy started making the C-5.

Definitly Aftermarket.....would Chevrolet refer to itself as Chevy (in a cast in item.....) in anything other than print?

:yesnod: Aftermarket :yesnod:
....possibly even avail. from the dealer.
Those look to be the exact. dimensions as the 1984 vette covers.
Probably 1982-1984 Crossfire covers though they probably fit a wide range of small blocks. :chevy

:iagree: I think you can find some vavle covers that are nicer. I personally do not like ones that say Corvette. Everyone knows what kind of car it is. And those do not have that CLASSIC look.

I had the same valve cover but it was 'CAMARO' that was cast in. Can't tell you where they were from since I got them with my Camaro 78.
I painted them black and sanded polished the line and writing. They turned out awesome with just a little work.

I just found a pic:

Thanks for your reply's guys. I was unaware that there was any aftermarket 'Corvette' covers.
