what year? There's a cage nut on the front frame extension on 80-82 models, there's also the nshifter cabe, the ground cable and charge cable for the battery, the parking brake cable, ground cable to starter. I'm probably forgetting lots of things here, but double check before lifting.

Check for a "crash cable" connecting the body to the rear main c/m. Attachment points are on either side of the diff mount bracket. Sorry, no pic handy...

I'm pulling the body off my '79 tonight actually.
Steering column... battery cables.... parking brake cable.... brake lines (if MS not removed from body)...... shifter.... multiple ground straps... and the front bumper assembly needs to be removed.....

What the other guys said plus all ground attachments, parking brake cable, wiring harness attachments to the frame and engine and brake lines to the master cylinder. Also, take your shifter **** and t-handle off. Mine got caught when I started lifting the body and damaged the shift plate and console a bit--needed replaced anyway.

How did you make out on you body lift?
I have the motor and tranny out
All of my mounts out
E-brake off
master cylinder lines off
antenna ground strap off
The only thing that I am confused with is the front end.
If you could help me out that would be great, seeing that I have a 79 aswell.
Pics of the front end removal would be a bonus.(which bolts to remove etc..)

Koni9

It should be similar to my 73. There are 4 bolts with nuts on each side that hold the front end to the frame. 2 are hinden under the support brackets that go out to the corners of the nose. There is a bolt that holds them to the front that you will need to remove. I suggest you pull the rad to make it alot easier and reduce the weight on the front.

Koni9,
Had to delay it to tonight. I'll let you know how it went and if there were any hidden snags.
On the front end removal, you'll need to remove 3 bolts where the front bumper section bolts to the front of the air tank. They are located in the center of the bumper, on the back side (i.e. heads face the radiator) There are also 2 bolts on the bottom side where the front bumper bracket bolts to the BOTTOM of the air tank. Also, if you look in the front wheel wells, you'll see 3 large (3/4") bolts on each side. Two of them will need to be removed as they retain the front bumper section. I don't have pics, but look in the wheel well and follow the bracket. It should be easy to identify which bolts to remove.
If I'm not forgetting any, the bumper section should slide forward through cutouts in the wheel wells on each side and you're done.
And don't forget the battery ground (bolts to frame crossmember). Had someone not told me, I never woulda thought of it.
And I'll second the poster above.... definitely remove the radiator. You'll notice the a/c condenser and radiator are bolted together. I tried to remove them seperately, but found that the bottom bolts on the condenser were very difficult to get to. So I removed them both as one unit. Made life easier. It'll lighten the front end tremendously.... very important.
