Speedo cable help
My speedometer recently stopped working. Soon after this happened I noticed a small spring and teflon type washer on the floor of my drivers side. I am wondering if this fell from the speedometer set-up or cable? Anyone who has taken the speedo cable out know if there is a spring associated with it?

OK, I am going to assume this is a 74? There is a flat spring clip that holds the cable end onto the head, but no wound spring.
