WooHoo I won a valve cover auction!

Bidding was fierce, but I won in the last seconds.
I have been looking for a set of these for six months, and wouldn't you know as soon as I get mine looking new (they were worse than these) they show up on ebay. I thought an extra set might come in handy so I bid on them. I didn't expect they would go for $5 in fact the shipping was more than the purchase, so I get them for $13 total. I think I might paint these non-stock with some flames or sharks teeth or better yet some gator teeth on the front, and maybe paint the clips silver. I'm also thinking about buying a cheap set of aftermarket covers with drippers and yanking the drippers out and installing them on these.
I think that if he had listed them as original 73-74 corvette big block valve covers he might have gotten more response. Lucky for me he didn't.
I'm almost done with the valve covers that came with the car. I re-dipped the clips in liquid tool dip rubber over the weekend. One more coat of paint and they should be ready to post.
