Default Original radio question

Anyone have any problems with their 'original' radio ?

Mine's the factory AM/FM <not stereo> with push-button memory. Lately, the darn thing can't 'hold' the station. If I adjust to a station using the ****, after a few seconds (sometimes 5 sec. & sometimes 20 sec.) the station 'fades' out......

So, am I being too tough on this 36yr. old equipment ?!?

Verskel, I refurbish 68-76 Corvette radios as a business. You can either trade the one that you have for a replacement or I can refurbish yours. Email me and I will give you the details. Thanks, Scott

Doh-h-h-hhh ! ....I think I fixed it for now ! :smash:

The dumb Am/Fm bar had a dirty contact. After sliding it back -n- forth several times......it now holds the station. Guess I don't use Am enough so it decided to play with my brain ! :D

You wouldn't happen to have an original for a '79 in good shape would you?
