B&M automatic chifter owners...
Which one(s) for the TH350/400 fit the best under the stock console with as little modification as possible?
Thanks.

Yup.
B&M makes several chifters--many of which fit Chebbys. :)
Just trying to get some feedback as to which one(s) work inside C3s with minimal or no modifications to the shifter panel.

I've searched & I've asked around- to my knowledge there is nobody that makes an aftermarket shifter that won't require pretty extensive mods to your shifter panel. I'd have one by now if it was easy- if you find something please let me know, but don't get your hopes up. There are a few guys here who have made it work but I can't recall which shifters they used & it took alot of work, including some fabrication to enclose the shifter. Good luck.

Welp, I guess I'll just dive in--eyeball a few of them, get the one tht looks closest and have at it. Some modification is OK, I'm a function-over-form kinda guy, anyhow. (As long as duct tape doesn't come into play.)

Re: B&M automatic chifter owners... (The Dude)
Greetings -- I bought a NOS Mr. Gasket V-matic (Hurst makes these now) shifter made for C3's -- the instructions include some modification to the under lid part of the ash tray and a template/plastic cover to recover a good bit of the console.
I haven't seen any others that are short enough to fit even mostly under the center console -- so you end up with a big hump on top of the console and a shifter getting closer to the rear view mirror than you might want.
The guy I bought it from had anther -- I got it off of ebay late last year.
If you go to this auction and click on ask the seller a questions you might get lucky and the guy still have one.
You can tell him he sold one to ebay name rrent back in Nov. of 2003 -- hope this helps.
I hadn't planned on selling mine --- but like everything else if the price is right (read that as much more than it is probably worth) I might let it go.
good luck
