It also has the highly desireable and very rare and much sought after 4X4 off road option

That "looks" like a '74,'75 or '76 rear clip with an '80, '81 or '82 rear bumper. Can't see enough of it to really tell. There ain't much left there of a '73. At least I dont see much, even in the interior photo, and I've had my '73 for 16 years. Notice that the title is listed as a "duplicate", so I would guess that someone bought a 1973 wreck, applied for and received the "duplicate" title and then put it back together with various year body parts, using the '73 title and VIN tag.

Just a guess....................

Funny how I see so many cars being sold with new/rebuilt high horse engs that have low miles on the eng. Can't imagine spending that much time and money just to drive it a few times then unload it. But I guess that is what Merlin and Monty did.

Here is the owner's explanation

This car is not a "classic" corvette. The car was built to look this way. The chrome bumpers had 2 exhaust holes. This car had sidepipes but I removed them and relocated the pipes right behind the tires. This car has a different bumper all together. Thanks, Bill

At least the seller is being honest. It actually looks like a fun car to drive.

Speaking of people building up big engines in there cars, driving it for a few miles, then selling it..........
