Default Interesting Way to Trouble Shoot Battery Drain Problems.

I read a little tip in Super Chevy Magazine last night on how to help people trouble shoot the problem of why there battery drains when the car sits and is not running. Take off the negative battery cable and hook up a small light between the negative post of the battery and the negative battery cable. The light should now come on showing you that something is on or grounded out. Then you can start pulling fuses and other connections you have into the fuse box to see what circuit it is that is gving you the problem. I have never used this method before but I thought it sounded like it might be something that would be easy to setup and help you out. Just thought I would pass it along.

You can do the same thing with a voltmeter as well.

Nice tip. I am going to have to remember that when I start trying to get my factory alarm working.
