Car Selling Question
I have tried local papers, corvette forum, and even Ebay. I am trying to sell my '74 and having absolutly no luck. I am not even getting any interest in it. Anyone have any ideas why this might be? Where have some of you had luck selling Vetts? Here is a link to my add

Unfortunately for sellers, todays market is full of bargain hunters. IMO, if you have to sell now you will probably have to reduce. Otherwise hold on to her.

Not only are there "Bargin Hunters" out there, it's also the shape of the economy and also the car market, especially the sports car/classic car market is just plain FLOODED with cars for sale. On any given day eBay will have 600+ Corvettes ALONE on it, not counting all the "other" thousands of cars on it. Same with Hemming's, Chevy/Corvette Buyer's Guide, etc. They too have thousands of ads PLUS all the "new" sports cars & convertibles. Seems like just about everyone has a car "For Sale"

I think it may also be your asking price for a 74', of course, that is my opinion. Not that there is anything wrong with the 74', but for what your asking price is, I would be looking for a 70-73. If I was going to buy a vette after 73', I would buy a 77'. I think first thing that someone would need to do is paint, yours is not a popular color, and that will be on top of the price the buyer pays.
When I was looking, I did bargain shop, but most of the bargains were junk. I paid just about top dollar for my 73', but it really does not need any work and is in excellent condition. Only thing it needs is maintenence and I will upgrade item as needed. With the economy the way it is, you will have to hold on to it until the right buyer comes along. You almost never get back what you put into one.
