Well went to see the vette today at the shop, they are just aligning the hood and other minor details. They started it and it took a second to start, but it fired up after just a few seconds, not bad for not being turned over in a week, but DANG that gear drive is obnoxiously loud, especially when starting. It's not a whining noise it's a lot more metallic than that, but they broke it down last week just to make suer everything was okay and they said it all checked out. (the installers did not build the engine) It's a Pete Jackson drive. Car is alot louder now with the stroker and the dynomax headers vs. the 350 and hedmans. It has a wicked lope to, darn thing sounds like it's pausing. I'm kinda worried though, engine seems to lope real hard itself, am I gonna break a motor mount with this kinda engine? A big block sure would take up more space but it's still amazing to think that a sb can make so much power.
