OT - S10 Blazer Turn Signals/Wiper, Need Help
I have an '87 S10 Blazer and nearly everytime we use the turn signals the wipers make a single pass back and forth. This is very annoying especially when the windshield has splattered bugs on it. Have any of you had this problem and does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

If I remember right the switch for the wipers is in the column and you might have to dig into the column to fix it.

BigBadOrange, You're not the first person to give me that response. Seems to be a common problem with these S10's series. It sure is annoying though.

Maybe I can Rain-X and the bugs will just slide on off and not get smeared all over my windshield

according to the Chiltons manual I have for the S10 the steering column must be dis-assmbled to replace the wiper switch.

Had a bunch of these in our fleet and it's the switch. We also changed the actuator arm at the same time. It went out almost as often. Real junk and not cheap!
72GACRZR, yours is about to be recalled for that problem. It's the circuit board mounted on the wiper motor. Some work randomly, others only quit when it rains! Handy, huh? Again, we've change a bunch of them. Here's the list (it is from GMC, but is the same for Chevy):
'94 pickup, Yukon and Suburban
'95 pickup, crewcab, Yukon Suburban and Safari
'96 Sonoma, Jimmy, pickup, crewcab, Yukon, Suburban, and Safari
'97 Sonoma, crewcab, Suburban and Safari
Good luck
