im looking at a new set in dark blue but they say for 68 what difference is there between them fitting.

I'm pretty sure its just the pattern of the fabric.

68-69 I know have 80/20 loop.. I think 70+ have nylon cut pile carpet.

I currently have 1982 cut pile in mine because it was FREE :lol:

well i have 80/20 now and it says 80/20 im looking at so it should be ok right corey.

I just got through installing the carpet in the front today and the notation when I bought it was that it was for '68-'77 vettes.

I was cleaning out my garage this afternoon and in the bottom of the box from Auto Custom Carpet there was a printed piece of paper that said "Front Carpet '71-'75 Corvette". I checked back with The Last Detail(where I bought the carpet) and although the link shows '68-'77 Corvettes on the carpet, you have to fill in the year, tranny(auto, manual) & style(80/20, cutpile) on the form. Based on the piece of paper I would guess there is a difference.

The difference is in the footwell area. 68-69's are a little narrower and there are a few variations of the dimmer switch trim.. ie. some had trim pads,some did not. I don't know how that will effect the fit of the carpet but there are subtle differences in the dimensions.

ok thats fine cause i mainly need the rear carpets my fronts are in good shape
