YAHOOOOO!!! Fixed my tach! It was the filter
After changing the speedo/tach circuit board, tach still did not work.
Changed the tach filter and now it's working! I am stoked!.
Just wished I would have started by changing the filter first, thats
ok as long as it works.
:smash:   :seeya

Re: YAHOOOOO!!! Fixed my tach! It was the filter (DMONSVETTE)
Did it not work at all, or was it completely out of whack?
My '76 currently reads exactly twice (2x) the RPM. I have a '95 LT1 in mine and the computer (PCM) knows what it's really doing, but would be nice if tach was correct (I only know RPM's thru 3,500 since 2x that = 7,000 - the limit of my tach)
I really haven't researched yet, but saw your post so wondered if anyone knew offhand if a bad filter would cause this???

I change the filter first and tach did nothing different then before. I have circuit board on order. :banghead:
