Driveshaft loop: Please read
The loops have now been built and I need to know how many still want one so he can ship them over. He built some extra for the local market so if anyone wants to bail out it's not a big deal. I'd rather you tell me now than when the loops are on my living room floor! :)
Here's the list from the previous thread:
Les
1970stingray
1979toy
Hotbrakesracing
Marks69BB
Tshort
RodKnock
Pat71vette
Maybe:
Grandsportc3
PLEASE CONFIRM THAT YOU STILL WANT ONE. Also, there are a few extras so if you want one and you're not on the list it can probably be arranged.
Due to the US dollar decreasing so much in value the last few months the price will be $99 + shipping from Dallas. Note that I also have to buy a box for the individual kits so add another $2. Shipping is your choice of USPS or UPS.
Here's a pic of the kit:
And here are some pics of it installed:
I'm not convinced thie loop will work with a stock 4-speed shifter (the one that has a bracket mounted to the crossmember). If you have a factory shifter, please take a look at your car before ordering.

This may be a stupid question, but will it work with a Turbo400? Also, how do you tighten the bottom bolts, through that notch cut out in the loop bracket? Will you ship to Canada? Thanks!

I'm still interested but let me go take a look at my car first. I've got a 4-speed. I've been in bed sick all week so it might take me a few days before I get around to checking it. Looks great though!

Yep, no problems with a TH400. The fabricator owns a 73 with a TH400 so he designed it with that in mind. The idea is to hold the bolt through the access slot like you say. I haven't installed one yet, so I don't know how easy or hard it will be but the fab guy says he installs it in minutes.

How about a 700R4?
(not that a stock Cross-Fire with rock-hard BFG TAs would 'need' it, but.....)

Hi Marcus,
I'm interested but I missed the previous thread (out of town) and I'm behind on the details.
The pics look more like a box than a loop - please clarify.

Zwede-
Can you give me some basic dimensions of the unit, as I'd like to check it to my 4-spd setup.
And thanx for the photos, they help!
Thanx -Rod

Do you know if it will fit a '80 with a 4 speed ?
I will be needing a few safety enhancements for the new mouse

Marcus,
My confusion was due to the first pic not coming thru until this AM. So, now I've got the picture.
I'm in if you're sure it will fit with my Muncie with OE shifter.
Thanks

I'm interested in one. Looks like a nice piece of design work. Are you sure it's large enough to allow for suspension movement? Have they been tried out on the street?
Thanks

I took a pic and I'm not sure if it will work. It looks like it would involve a little fabrication.
Of course it's up to you. No hard feeling if you want to back out. Just let me know.
