Quick Crossfire Question
What fuel pump does a crossfire use? Is it a special high pressure pump like later fuel injection, or does it just use a normal mechanical sb pump? I'm dreaming about putting FI on my 4x4 to eliminate the flooding at extreme angles, and Xfire looked good cause it bolts right onto a first gen smallblock, and somebody's always getting rid of it (cheap).

Re: Quick Crossfire Question (BB73Chris)
The crossfire originally uses a pump with a dead head pressure of about 25psi and an operating pressure of 9-13psi. The later tpi and LT pump will fit the fuel level/pump assembly without a problem. The much higher flow and dead head pressure of the later pumps are not a problem since the fuel injection systems operating pressure depends only on the rgulator (it would only be higher than the regulator if the so much fuel has to flow through it that the fully open regulator itself or the return line becomes restrictive)
So, get the lter pump, they are much more reliable and deliver far crisper throttle response than the TBI pump.
