Did a stupid thing, need alternator help--
A heavy red wire and a light black wire go to a connector that plugs into the side of the back of my alternator. The red wire broke off at the connector, so I took the connector apart and soldered the contacts securely onto both wires, then went to put the connector back together. Then I realized I'd forgotten which wire went to which spade on the fitting on the alternator. Anybody know if the red wire goes to the top spade or the bottom spade?

AND the top terminal could depend on the orientation of the rear of the alt case when it was assembled....I look at the case from the back where the terminals are...and the red wire goes to the MOST CLOCKWISE terminal....
