Default More TT2 questions, 18x10 w/5" BS?

I promise no more questions on wheels and tires after this! (Maybe!).

Anyone running or know if TT2s, 18x10s with 5” backspacing will fit on the rear of a 69? And yes I am using offset trailing arms.

And if someone is, what size tire?

Thanks again, Eric.

Dewcustom's car is set-up with these:

He stated with these tires:
-fronts 18x8 w/ 4.25 backspace and 255/45s
-rears 18x10 w/ 5.5 backspace and 295/45s
-offset trailling arms installed
-modified the frame in order to fit them in

I suppose if you wanted less backspacing, you could get away with possibly not having to mod the frame, but you might have teh wheels sticking out of the fender a little.

Go to www.corvetteforum.net/c3/dshrack and look at the '81 with a set of Centerline 806's with a 5"BS and no spacers. dshrack has 285/40/ZR17 Firehawk SZ50s mounted on all four.

Wheels/Tires:

(4) 17”x9.5” Centerline Billet Aluminum Wheels: Series 806, 5” Backspacing, 5x4.75” Bolt Pattern,

18 lbs/wheel

(4) 285/40ZR17 Firestone SZ50 EP Tires: 330AA, 26” Overall Dia., 11.5” Overall Width, 9.8” Tread Width

Looks awfully good to me!

I still have reservations about orderiing my tires as well as everyone else. This has been discussed to death and we do need a good evaluation done to see what will and will not fit with the OST/a's in th erear and what will work in front.

Anyone else have any good info? Jim

OK, I lied! One more question.

"-rears 18x10 w/ 5.5 backspace and 295/45s
-offset trailling arms installed
-modified the frame in order to fit them in"

Anyone know what he did to modify the frame?

Thanks, Eric.

He propably had to modify the bit just over the trailing arm pockets. I have 20" all around, 10" rears with 5.5" BS. No modifications to the frame needed, yes I'm using trailing arms. IMO I could have used 5.25" to get better frame clearance though.
