I'll TTT this with a question ;)
Looks like I'm finally getting to Aussie next June. I'll be arriving in Cairns & driving down to Brisbane - but I'm not sure what I'll be doing the next day.. :jester
Are there any Vette related things happening in that sort of area that you guys (Cobbers?) know of???

Paul, There are 2 clubs in the Brisbane area, Corvettes Down Under ( http://www.corvettesdownunder.com.au )and the Queensland Corvette Club( http://www.qldcorvetteclub.com )
Check out their websites for contacts and details of their events. They probably have members up in Cairns as well.
Chris O (Forum Member) is the secretary of the down unders.

Brutus,
I've just IM'd you but in case I goofed, I am flying up on Thursday Nov 6 and back on Tuesday Nov 11. We are staying in a hotel in Coogee, but that's all they can tell me. The Buskhana is probably on Saturday and we may get some practise on Friday. The Company has also paid for a Harbour Bridge climb and Harbour Ferry tour. As well, I want to get out to the Western Sydney International Dragway, as I know Jim Read and David Cook quite well. I should be able to find a few free nights out of that lot, and probably have all Sunday free as well.
I'll send you more info when I know more.

Look forward to seeing you.
  :auto:

John,
Sure do! We're visiting a mate & her husband who live nr Brisbane. His original idea was for us to land in Darwin & drive to Brisbane!!! I think he wants revenge for last year when they were over here. We were staying outside a small Cornish fishing village (Looe) & one morning told him that we'd be driving to a quaint village called Polperro. So he loaded up his car with food & drink, filled the gas tank, checked fluid levels, tyre pressures, etc, etc & got ready for a major road trip. We jumped in the cars & 5 miles later we'd arrived!! "Yer bl**dy Pohms, wait till yer get to Aussie. I'll show you a proper journey!"

I just finished my last night shift this morning. It's now 7.30 am and the weather is absolutely perfect. Not a cloud in the sky and the temp is supposed to hit high 20s today. I'm heading out into the back yard by the pool to do some gardening now and soak up the sun for a while then later on wash the Vette while I try to stay awake, but a few beers later in the day might seal my fate tho. :D
Maybe I should just cruise on down to the beach instead and forget about the garden. :D
