Default coil spring sounds

I recently had new front coils installed and they are making embarrassing noise. It is real noticeable when I turn onto an incline slow. I think it could be the springs against the a-arms. What should I check? Is there supposed to be rubber donuts between the spring and the a-arms?

I just put new coil springs on my 81 two weeks ago. There were no kind of pads in there when I removed them. I checked my AIM and it did not show anything. I have not had any problems yet, but I have only put about 200 miles on the vette since I did it.
Maybe you could take a look and make sure they are seated in there right. Took my a few trys till I got them in there right. :seeya

Ditto Cooper. Your springs are not porperly seated. Rotate them until the end contacts the stop.

Could it be the Aarm bushings ? Are they new, too ?
Just a thought. :seeya

There's an inspection hole in the upper arm that's REALLY hard to see. Take the spring out and look up to the upper spring pocket. You should be able to see it. You need the end of the TOP coil to cover about half of that hole. Your car should probably sit lower when you finish as well.

I think they are new. I had the two rods replaced too, one on each side. Perhaps everything is so tight that it's going to make noise. I 'm going to have the shop that did the work take a look at it.

Thanks for the tips guys, I learned today that my brake dust shield was rubbing on the brake rotor. Everything is all quiet now. :seeya
