Default Differential Side Yoke

I just snapped the side yoke on my '76 rear end. What kind of problems do you think I might find once I get the differential apart. Is there a clip that holds the side yoke into the differential? Part of the yoke is still inside.

A snap ring holds them in normally. THe mid 70's yokes were softer then the older yokes and wear fast. Chances are you have a lot of metal dust in the oil. You may be in for a rebuild,at least that's what I would do in your situation. You must have a lot torque applied to the rear to snap a yoke?
Check the archives there's a lot of info on yokes in it.
