I went down to Cruisin the Coast with a friend of mine. I got the chance to ride in a chevrolet with probably the coolest power plant I have seen. It is sick!!! It is a custom chevrolet S10 with a turbine power plant. The guy who was driving the truck is really good friends with my buddy, and if you read hot rod he had the blue 442 that was dynoed at power tour. The truck was made my MTT the people who made Leno's turbine bike. There website is http://www.marineturbine.com/ You can find the turbine truck on there. The thing gets 7 miles to the gallon and runs on diesel. The best was the crowd it brought. Everyone wanted to watch the flames from the stacks. It was the best cruise I have ever been on.

That IS sick!!! Cheers to what must have been one heck of a rush :cheers: :chevy ...really is a wonder what can be done with the humble economy S10- (apparently less so in this incarnation!)

I heard the coast was nice once again, last year was my first year, enjoyed it.

My dad and mom made it back today. I went last year, but couldn't make it this year. He seen the truck as well, said he shot about 4ft flames out of the stack. :cool: They are based of New Iberia I believe, I know they build the bikes as well (Jay Leno has one). I believe they also have a Turbine Viper, though I didn't see it on the site. :confused:

It is and S10 around a 94-95 model year. The inside was very similar to my dad's 98 but a little simplier. Man that thing trucks! Yeah the diesel flames up by adding a little excess to the exhaust. It rocks.
